All our doonas are made of the perfect mix of ethically sourced down and feathers. Why? For maximum comfort. But what’s the difference between down and feathers?
Down is comprised of super fluffy, soft, pillowy clusters that nature has perfectly engineered to provide unprecedented warmth, while being incredibly lightweight.
Even though feathers come from the same bird, they have a prickly quill that runs down the middle. Doonas with less down are a lot heavier when you sleep, and while they might look fluffy in the store, over time, as you use the doona, the quills will break and the doona will lose its fluffiness.

At Bonny, we pride ourselves on having maximum fluffiness. Our All Rounder and Winter duvets have over 800 fill power and our Summer doona has 700 fill power.
If you only look at one measurement, this is it! Fill power is the single most important measurement when it comes to fluffiness. Greater fill power = greater fluffiness, and with your Bonny doona, you’ll be sleeping with your bed in the clouds.
Ethically Sourced & Certified.
We know that no material comes close to the weight to warmth ratio of down, yet we also acknowledge that as down is an animal product, it is our responsibility to provide the best quality, and most ethical source available.
The Responsible Down Standard ensures no unnecessary harm is caused throughout the supply chain. Our insulated down is certified as a non-live plucked product, originating from the food industry, and more sustainable than plastic alternatives.
100% Cotton, Super Soft Casing.
Our doonas have a super soft, 100% cotton outer casing with a 400 Thread Count, which is simply fancy talk for softness. While the casing is normally covered by your sheets, you’ll still feel the difference. It has an amazing feel to snuggle into with maximum breathability.
All our edges feature a double stitch construction which ensures no escaping feathers or down. A summary? Your doona has been made to last.
