King Size Doonas

Our king-size doona dimensions are 240cm (width) by 210cm (length).

We offer three variations, specifically designed for the warmer seasons, colder seasons, and an all-year-rounder.

Bonny’s king-size doonas are sized to provide ample coverage and a perfect fit on a king-size bed, or give a drapey, cosy look for a queen-size.  

The weight of a king size quilt can vary greatly. The largest determining factor is the fill contents, and the quality of the fill.

At Bonny, we use ultra lightweight duck down and a 100% cotton, 400 thread count outer casing. Our king size All Rounder doona weighs less than 2kg!

Your king size Bonny doona is pretty low maintenance. It mostly wants to hug you and be hugged back. 

However, for minor spills etc. a simple spot clean will suffice. 

For bigger stains, Machine Wash cold with mild detergent, and include an extra rinse cycle. Finally, Tumble Dry low until thoroughly dry.

As a king doona is quite large, it may not move in the washer or dryer. You will most likely have to take it to be professionally laundered or use a coin laundry which has larger commercial machines.

Do not dry clean. Dry cleaning can actually harm the down inside the doona. The harsh chemicals used when dry cleaning can strip the down of it's natural oils.

Definitely! We always recommend going one size up. 

For instance, if you’ve bought a queen bed, buy a king doona. Why? This looks so much better on your bed and is so much more comfortable - especially if you’re sharing the doona with someone else (no one likes a doona hog). 

If you already have existing sheets (doona covers), you may want to stick to your current sizing, and that's ok too. We get it, bedding can be expensive. 

Absolutely! For a king-size bed, a king-size doona is a great match.

Absolutely! Our king doonas is designed to be as low maintenance as possible. Made with durable and machine-washable materials, a cold machine wash and a low tumble dry should do the trick for freshening up your doona and removing any stainage.
